In the Fall of 1991, 11 determined gentlemen introduced La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. to the New Jersey Region. Six of them from Princeton University and the remaining five from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. From Princeton, Hermanos Gabriel Benitez, Luis Colon, Jose E. Feliciano, Luis A. Gallegos, Paul Roldan and Hermanos David Cruz, George Gates, Manuel Bedoya, Michael Rodriguez, Jose G. Negron (Que en Paz Descanse), respectively.

Both of these schools initially constituted the Iota Chapter of La Fraternidad. The Epsilon (5th) Pledge Class of Iota Chapter, consisted of Hermano David Mejias and Pablo Pinon from Princeton University. These Hermanos filed for a Charter or "Letter" from the National Board, and in 1994 the Charter/Letter ‘Xi’ was bestowed upon Princeton University.

In 1996, at the ‘La Raza March’ in Washington, DC, The Hermanos at Rider University were first exposed to La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity,Inc.(Regards to the Upsilon Chapter, Beta Line).

Thanks to a very persistent effort, La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. was officially chartered at Rider University on April 28, 1998 by Hermanos Pedro Garcia, Aramis Gutierrez, Jose Reyes, and Joshua Stalsworth.
