Since its inception, Nu Chapter has devoted an abundance of time and effort to serving and addressing the needs of the Latino community both on- and off-campus. The following is a list of some of the community service projects the Nu Chapter has participated in:
MADISON PARK HIP HOPE PEER MENTORING PROGRAM
Madison Park Higher Inspiration for Pride and HOPE mentorship is a program designed to expose the students of Madison Park Vocational Academy to their culture and history. Participants in the program are matched with a college mentor and attend college classes all taught by college professors at Northeastern University.

AIDS WALK BOSTON
Since 2004, Nu chapter has participated in AIDS Walk Boston on an annual basis.
BILAN (Boston Intercollegiate Latin American Network)
Co-founded with other Tufts undergraduates an initiative was started to unite all the undergraduate Latino groups in the
greater Boston area. Thus far, the schools participating in BILAN are Harvard, Brandeis, Tufts, MIT, Northeastern, & Wellesley. We hope to soon solidify partnerships with Boston University, Boston College, and UMass Boston.

TUFTS UNIVERSITY KIDS' DAY
Children in grades Kindergarten through 3 from local elementary schools enjoy a day of fun at Tufts, including carnival rides, games, arts and crafts, and other activites.

HOPE PEER MENTORING PROGRAM
HOPE for Youth Peer Mentoring Program matches students who are at risk academically with successful mentors who are at the next educational level. The program is tailored towards Spanish-speaking Latino adolescents from low to low/moderate income families in the Boston area. The Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation (HOPE) is a non-profit multi-service Latino agency headquartered in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston which assists the Latino community to meet its own needs and leverage its own strengths through locally based programs, structural support and community leadership development.

VOTO LATINO
City of Boston Program devoted to registering Latino voters in Boston, informing them of political issues of relevance to them, and encouraging them to vote.

AHORA PROGRAM
Tutoring Latino students at Cambridge Ringe and Latin High School in Cambridge.

HISPANIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROJECT
Effort to reach out to a group of Dominican children in the Boston area and serve as their mentors and supporters.
