As a Latino student at a pre-dominantly white university, I (and
five other Latinos) decided that a Latino fraternity was a must. I
felt that the African American and Caucasian fraternities had absolutely
nothing to offer me. I pledged LUL because I felt that establishing
a Latino fraternity would benefit me as a human being, as a man and
as a Latino. At the same time it would provide a tool by which we,
as Latinos, could express out culture to the masses and provide support
for ourselves and our Latino society.
